On the west side of Moscow, along the Moskva river, old villages and new settlements are dipped in a beautiful landscape where dark forests come in succession with wide clearings.
Fences are the only continuous element in this fragmented landscape where traditional houses alternate with new luxury villas and commercial buildings. Wood and steel fences create an horizontal landscape partially interrupted by white and dark logs and by sloping roofs emerging behind it.

In this unlimited, territory boundaries become one of the most distinctive part of the architecture. The project for a new 700sqm furniture showroom uses fences to create an architecture in itself. Wooden walls rise from the horizon framing generic glass façades and surrounding private open spaces. Inside the building a huge wooden staircase substitutes the ordinary stairs ramps and becomes a flexible and usable space. These large stands can be used to display furnitures, to host events, be occupied by cafè tables or simply a place to sit and relax. The cafè counter is under the stairs and it is oriented to the street side and the parking. The staircase has been turned to the garden side towards Moskva river.
The steel building structure is visible and becomes a fundamental element of the architecture philosphy.
